Many poets have sung in praise of this beautiful island. Located in the southern Aegean sea, this island is the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions recorded in human history. Located in Athens, this world famous museum houses a huge collection of artifacts. You will find objects from the Neolithic era, many marble figurines, Mycenean art, and much more.

Temple of Poseidon

Located in Sounio, this temple is dedicated to Poseidon, god of the sea. This marble temple is situated atop sheer cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. Lord Byron carved his name on one of the pillars of this temple.

Island of Hydra

Vehicles are not allowed in this small island. It has a charming harbor and places of worship and high quality taverns. You cannot find nude beaches in this island. While visiting the monasteries here, you need to ensure that you are fully clothed, so that even the arms are covered.
